The Global Master in Finance class will be composed of international professionals mainly between the ages of 23-35 who have an excellent academic background and a clear drive to succeed in the finance world. Exceptional candidates who fall outside of the standard profile will be considered on a case by case basis.

A 14 month blended program, the Global Master in Finance comprises of 3 residential periods, two in Madrid and another in London, combined with 2 interactive, online periods which include a mix of videoconference and forum-based classes.

Students admitted to the Global Master in Finance with less than 3 years professional experience can aim for analyst (entry level) positions within the financial industry, whilst students with 3-5 years of experience can aspire to achieve an associate (MBA-level) entry level in the finance sector.

Students with a more extensive professional experience could use the experience accumulated during the Global Master in Finance and the access to networks provided by IE as a platform to achieve a senior role within a financial institution, to become an entrepreneur through leveraged finance (i.e. acquiring an existing business) or the CFO of a business.

To be considered for admission, a candidate must have successfully completed the following prior to submission:

• A Bachelor degree at an accredited college/university (or equivalent).
• GMAT, GRE , CFA level I, or CAIA Level I or II. The test result from one of these exams is a prerequisite for admission.
• English Language Certificate (Pearson PTE, TOEFL, Cambridge or IELTS) for all non-native applicants
• A complete application for evaluation by the Admissions Committee, including all supporting documents.

The IE Business School admissions process is composed of a series of interactions with different members of the IE Community to ensure candidate suitability, commitment to professional and personal development within the changing context of innovation and a willingness and capacity to embrace multicultural management. The demanding nature of the Global Master in Finance means that the large numbers of candidates are subject to a rigorous selection process. The main objective of the admissions process is to select students with the highest potential.

The tuition fees for the October 2012 intake of the Global Master in Finance total €34,200.

Fees for the Global Master in Finance include:

• All expenses related to learning activities, including, but not limited to: access to relevant technology, multimedia learning tools, conferences, access to physical and digital library resources and access to the various IE Centers of Excellence

• A contribution to the IE Foundation

Candidates pay a non-refundable application fee of 120€ to cover administrative costs.

Admission is valid for two intakes from the date of admission, allowing the successful applicants to plan their learning experience. In order to secure a place, prospective students are requested to pay a Place Reservation of 6.200€ (5,000€ + 1,200€ Contribution to the IE Foundation).
